Requirements to Receive Farmer Bailout

To: Sen. Mullin, Rep. Hern, Sen. Lankford

From: A verified voter in Tulsa, OK

December 11

With the President announcing $12 billion in public resources going to farmers I ask that you make several requirements upon these funds. First, recipients of this entitlement must have work requirements and specific reporting requirements of the work they are performing. Second, they must be drug tested every 90 days. Finally, they must repay all the public funds they receive aligned with repayment of federal student loans. Most of us didn’t choose to be farmers. Some of us chose to join the military and go to college like I did. Some of us chose to go into blue collar work through apprenticeships. We should not be on the hook for those who chose to become farmers and it didn’t work out financially. That isn’t the general public’s fault. I know you hold very high standards for any US citizen to receive public assistance. Please just continue to require the kinds of stipulations to the reception of public assistance you have throughout your career. Thanks!
