Please condemn the IOC’s decision to bow to Trump/MAGA culture-war coercion and institute a supposed ban on transgender Olympic athletes and those with DSD (whatever that is). And if it’s within the power of your level of government, prevent Los Angeles from hosting the Olympics under these circumstances. I deeply doubt the people behind this initiative can name any woman athlete, trans or otherwise. If they really cared about women they’d be demanding the Epstein Files and Trials instead of this tired trans-panic stuff. This naive chromosomal/hormonal standard of biological sex, whatever that is, has also predictably spread from targeting trans women to now also targeting any woman who doesn’t meet MAGA standards of womanhood. The IOC rejected the attacks on Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting in the before times, but under the new standard I guess the implication is they wouldn’t be women anymore. This is getting really ridiculous. You should reject the IOC’s premise that biological women are even generally at a physical disadvantage to biological men, whatever those are. A competition is a battle of wills - if “biological” men have an unfair advantage it’s that societies like the IOC and United States systematically degrade everyone else’s will with this kind of dime-store mythologizing. Please do all in your power to reverse or reject this decision. Unfortunately the rest of the world can’t be counted on to boycott LA28.
