URGENT: Demand for Impeachment Inquiry – Illegal Military Action in Venezuela

To: Sen. Capito, Sen. Justice, Rep. Miller

From: A constituent in Bluefield, WV

January 3

I am writing to express my outrage over President Trump’s recent unilateral military strikes in Venezuela. "Operation Absolute Resolve" is a flagrant violation of the War Powers Resolution and a direct assault on the constitutional authority of Congress. The President does not have the power to start a war on a whim. By bypassing Congress to launch these strikes and effect regime change, the administration has demonstrated a total disregard for the rule of law. This is not just a policy disagreement; it is a constitutional crisis. As my representative, you have a sworn duty to defend the Constitution against such executive overreach. I am demanding that you: Immediately co-sponsor a resolution of impeachment. Publicly condemn the President’s use of military force without congressional authorization. Vigorously exercise your oversight powers to ensure this administration is held accountable for this illegal act of aggression. A failure to act now is an endorsement of an imperial presidency. I expect more than a form letter in response; I expect to see you take a public stand on the House/Senate floor. My vote and the votes of many in this district depend on your willingness to uphold the law. I look forward to your immediate action on this matter.
