Congressman Guthrie added a new text to the Budget Reconciliation bill to ban GenAi regulation in the states for 10 years. The section is TITLE IV-ENERGY AND COMMERCE (Part II: Al section, (c) moratorium). This bill, with this amendment, would kill any regulation on generative AI for ten years. This means it would halt all regulations on things like deepfakes or college students cheating using AI. This is a matter of safety. This bill cannot be allowed to pass as is. I urge you to vote NO to the Budget Reconciliation bill.
