I’m writing to express my disgust with the way federal employees are being treated by Donald Trump and DOGE. The constant targeting, vilification, and destabilization of our civil service is unacceptable. These are dedicated public servants who keep our government running—often underappreciated, underpaid, and now under attack. What’s even more disturbing is the silence from Congress. Why has Congress been excluded from the consequences of this chaos? Why are our elected officials exempt from the pain that’s being inflicted on the very people who keep our country functioning? If the Trump administration can recklessly disrupt federal agencies and livelihoods, where is the check on that power? Federal employees deserve strong, vocal advocates in Congress. It's time to stop looking the other way and start standing up for the workforce that keeps this nation afloat. We need accountability. We need protection. And we need representatives who actually fight for us.
