Investigate the President’s Corruption & Cognitive and Physical Fitness

To: Rep. Messmer, Sen. Banks, Sen. Young

From: A verified voter in Mount Vernon, IN

October 27

Investigate the mounting evidence of corruption and cognitive decline at the highest level of our federal government. A New York Times and Siena University poll shows President Trump's approval rating has hit a new low, driven by broad disapproval of his handling of the economy, the war in Iran, and high gas prices. That is not a president in command. That is a president in freefall. At a recent rally, Trump could not remember the name of the Nobel Peace Prize, calling it the "Pulitzer Prize" instead. He wandered past his own motorcade. His public appearances are marked by halting syntax, odd pauses, and incoherent mid-sentence breakdowns. Meanwhile, his administration is reportedly directing FEMA to tell states to handle disasters on their own, while taxpayer money flows toward his family's overseas business interests. These are not minor stumbles. They are a pattern. The people I vote for and the institutions I pay taxes to fund cannot simply look away. Constituents across this country are watching, and we expect action. Investigate and do the job.
