I am urging you in the strongest possible terms to take immediate action in response to the Israeli military’s interception of the humanitarian flotilla currently attempting to reach Gaza. This flotilla was delivering desperately needed aid to a civilian population that is being systematically starved and bombed. The situation in Gaza is beyond urgent — over 66,000 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them women and children, and hospitals, schools, and refugee camps have been targeted repeatedly. An international panel of experts, including the UN’s Special Rapporteur, has formally recognized these actions as genocide. As a member of Congress, your silence or inaction prolongs the U.S. complicity in these atrocities. I am asking you to: – Publicly demand the safe release of all individuals on the flotilla and an end to the blockade of humanitarian aid. – Call for an immediate ceasefire and a halt to U.S. military aid that is enabling these crimes. – Support international accountability efforts, including investigations by the ICC and UN bodies. The people of Gaza are starving. Aid workers and civilians are risking their lives to bring food, water, and medicine. The U.S. must not stand by. I urge you to act now — history is watching.
