I am dismayed and appalled that the US Justice Department has authorized a $1.7B farcical “anti-weaponization fund” to dole out tax dollars to cronies. This occurring after an independent panel determined that the underlying case against the IRS was completely without merit is a devastating blow to Democracy. It is a theft of taxpayer dollars in broad daylight. We need Democratic Governors like you to act swiftly to protect America. Illinois should be withholding tax contributions proportional to these lawless actions (or even entirely). We are far beyond negotiating- withdraw IL financial support from the federal government now. Please act boldly.
