An Open Letter

To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A constituent in Palmyra, PA

February 15

The Save Act requires specific means of acceptable identification. None of them are free. You pay for a driver’s license/state id, a passport and a copy of your birth certificate. The US Constitution, specifically the 24th Amendment, renders a poll tax unconstitutional. The SAVE act requires a purchase of at least one additional form of ID to vote-which constitutes a poll tax. The Save Act is per se unconstitutional. Read the bill. Real ID would NOT be sufficient and anything beyond that is a poll tax. Real ID is already a stretch, but less of one. We show ID to vote. The true statistics show there is VERY little voter fraud.
