I'm sending this quick note to you to oppose legalized gambling in Hawaii. For 25 years I lived in Philadelphia, and watched as gambling was legalized. A casino opened a mile from my house. While there may be something attractive about the entertainment and revenue, the impact on communities is very real and falls disproportionately on poor and marginalized families. Moreover, it would cheapen the aesthetic of the islands. Thanks for your time and your hard work.
