It is incredibly troubling that the Democratic Party platform no longer includes the removal of the death penalty. I am disappointed that your platforms so far include appealing to the conservatives. You said you will appoint a Republican cabinet member and that you will fund Trump's border wall. You are abandoning your voter base to try appeal to conservatives who don't like you. You will not get enough votes this way. Secure Democrat votes by ending the border wall construction, supporting immigrants and refugees, and actual, concrete actions for Gaza. Vague promises about pursuing a ceasefire are not enough. Arms embargo against Israel would be a huge step. Do not supply Israel with any more weapons to commit genocide. These are key issues with voters. These are platform and policy matters that are important. Saying you are the only alternative to Trump, as the only reason we should vote for you, will not work. It is lazy fearmongering and won't get you enough votes. You will not have my vote while you currently fund and pledge to continue funding Israel's genocide of Gaza. Take action now to pursue liberal policies at home and end the genocide in Gaza abroad.
