A Question of Loyalty and Representation
To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
March 23
I am writing to you not just as a constituent, but as an American who is deeply concerned about your priorities and your loyalty.
At this moment in history, your actions and public positions raise a serious question: who are you actually serving? The people in your district, or one man?
You have repeatedly aligned yourself with Donald Trump, a figure who has been convicted of multiple felonies and found liable for sexual assault in a court of law. Yet instead of demonstrating independent judgment or accountability to your constituents, you appear to be pledging unwavering loyalty to him.
That is not representation. That is submission.
Your duty is to the Constitution and to the people you were elected to serve, not to any individual, regardless of their political influence. When you prioritize personal or political allegiance over truth, integrity, and the well-being of your constituents, you erode trust in our institutions and in your office.
So I will ask you plainly:
Why have you chosen this path?
Why do your actions suggest disregard for the concerns, values, and intelligence of the people you represent?
And how do you justify placing loyalty to one man above your obligation to this country?
Understand this clearly, voters are paying attention. We are watching not just what you say, but what you do. And we will remember.
