I am writing to demand the immediate removal of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and all individuals he has appointed to positions within HHS. His documented deception during Senate confirmation hearings and the deadly consequences of his vaccine skepticism make him unfit to lead our nation's health agency. During his Senate confirmation hearings, Kennedy claimed his 2019 trip to Samoa had "nothing to do with vaccines." Emails from U.S. Embassy and UN staff prove this was a lie. He was actively spreading vaccine skepticism during that visit. Following his trip, vaccination rates in Samoa dropped precipitously, leading to a measles outbreak that killed 83 people, the majority of them children under five years old. Beyond these deaths, many more suffered long-term illness and complications from a preventable disease. This pattern is now repeating itself in the United States. We are experiencing the biggest measles outbreak in decades, directly coinciding with Kennedy's elevation to a position of authority over public health policy. The same misinformation that devastated Samoan families is now threatening American children. Kennedy's willingness to lie under oath to Congress demonstrates a fundamental lack of integrity. His track record shows that his ideology takes precedence over scientific evidence and human lives. The 83 dead children in Samoa are not abstract statistics but the direct result of the kind of vaccine skepticism he continues to promote from his current position of power. Every day Kennedy remains at HHS, he appoints more individuals who share his anti-vaccine views to positions of influence over our healthcare system. These appointments will have lasting consequences even after he is gone. Swift action is required to prevent further damage to our public health infrastructure and to protect American families from preventable disease outbreaks. I urge you to use every tool at your disposal to remove Secretary Kennedy and reverse his appointments before more children die from his dangerous misinformation.
