The DOJ must release the 2nd volume of Jack Smith’s findings from his special counsel investigation into the classified documents that Trump illegally took to Mar-a-Lago.
Trump’s favorite judge, Aileen Cannon, tossed the case, saying that Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel was “unlawful”.
A memo summarizing some of the evidence seems to suggest that Trump retained the classified documents for use in his business affairs was sent (probably unwittingly) by the DOJ to Congress.
Trump’s wealth had grown significantly since he started his second term, by $3-4 Billion according to some estimates. It is quite possible that the information in those documents has played a role in that increase.
The information in those documents belongs to the United States, not for the use of the criminal enterprise Trump seems to be running from the White House.
