Take action on ICE now. If congress does nothing this becomes normal. Please support/ put forward legislation to on the following: 1- Federal officer identification and masked transparency - Prohibit face coverings during public facing civil immigration enforcement -Require visible ID (agency and badge/ ID number) -Require verbal identification upon contact 2- Judicial warrant and due process protection - Align immigration enforcement with basic constitutional norms - Require judicial warrants (not administrative) for home entry, arrest, and prolonged detention. - Prohibit collateral arrests of people not named in the warrant (unless probably cause of serious violent felony) 3- Sensitive locations and community protection - Keep enforcement away from schools, churches, hospitals, shelters, courthouses, and polling places with binding law (not “guidance”)
