The VA is in a staffing freefall—thousands of doctors, nurses, and mental health providers are leaving, putting veterans’ health at serious risk. Secretary Doug Collins’ claim that this won’t hurt care is false. It means longer waits, fewer services, and lower-quality treatment for those who served. Privatizing veteran healthcare will only make things worse—higher costs, less access, and loss of the specialized care the VA provides. Congress must act now: fully fund and staff the VA, stop privatization, and recruit top medical talent. Our veterans fought for us—now you must fight for them.
