I urge you to oppose the Republican-led crypto tax package under consideration in Congress, including the Tax Clarity for Mining and Staking Act, the Less Tax Paperwork for Digital Asset Owners Act, and the Charitable Deductions for Digital Asset Donations Act. I left the Republican party because you are now fascists. Unless you change your course I will never vote Republican again and this is just an example of the criminal, untraceable “new money” grifts you are pushing.
Congress should write clear, fair rules for digital assets, but these bills would create special tax treatment for wealthy crypto holders and firms. Workers pay taxes out of every paycheck. Crypto investors should not receive unlimited deferral, special exemptions, or weakened safeguards that other taxpayers do not get.
The Tax Clarity for Mining and Staking Act would allow costly tax deferral for digital assets. The Less Tax Paperwork for Digital Asset Owners Act would give crypto transactions a special advantage over similar assets like stock. The Charitable Deductions for Digital Asset Donations Act raises serious concerns about valuation, manipulation, and enforcement.
These bills are especially dangerous at a time when IRS crypto enforcement capacity has already been weakened. The IRS needs more resources to enforce the law, not new loopholes that make it easier for wealthy crypto holders to avoid paying their fair share.
This debate is also happening while crypto corruption is visible at the highest levels of government. President Trump’s family crypto businesses generated about $1.4 billion in 2025. Congress should not respond to that kind of corruption by writing tax rules that benefit the same industry.
Please reject these crypto tax giveaways, oppose any effort to attach them to a larger crypto package in the Senate, and support fair taxation and strong enforcement for digital assets.
