I am writing about Kilmar Garcia and what his case means for American citizens. I have two simple questions for you: 1- what are you doing to help bring Mr. Garcia back to the US and 2- with the legal precedent the Trump administration is attempting to set, what assurances so I, a citizen born on US soil, have that I will not be deported? The Trump administration is making clear that they believe anyone can be deported and disappeared with no way of return on a whim. Failing to secure Mr. Garcia's safe return will materially impair the rule of law in this country. So, what are you doing to bring this man home and what assurances can you provide me that this will not happen to citizens?
