I strongly oppose H.R. 2616 the "Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act,” which Republicans just passed in the House with the help of a handful of callow Democrats. I want to be clear: targeting the transgender community, which is less than 1% of our population, with vicious and hateful legislation is intolerable and unacceptable. I stand with trans people. Any lawmaker who doesn’t will lose my support permanently. I will be watching this vote closely. Thank you.
