I am writing as a constituent deeply concerned about the incomplete release of the Department of Justice’s Jeffrey Epstein investigative files. First, the Epstein Files Transparency Act required all unclassified materials relating to Jeffrey Epstein’s network to be made public. While over 3 million pages have been released, 3 million more have not. Key documents remain redacted or withheld, and survivors have criticized the handling as “incomplete” and harmful to victims. This limited transparency undermines public trust in justice, accountability, and the rule of law. Congress must ensure full, unredacted disclosure, enforce compliance with the statute, protect victims’ privacy appropriately, and pursue mechanisms to hold the Department of Justice accountable if further withholding persists.
