I appreciate Congress supporting a 3.8% raise for federal workers. This is more in line with the messaging from the White House that “America is back” and is “the hottest economy on the globe.” I would prefer you educate President Trump that it’s inappropriate to implement salary freezes when the economy and country is doing as great as he says. In fact what President Trump is saying about how great everything is going, it supports an even larger across the board increase. He is saying things are going so great in the USA and economy that this would be the most appropriate moment to catch federal employees up with larger picture inflation going back to salary freezes during sequestration! I’ve never heard a President say the economy is doing this great in my entire lifetime! Please do what is appropriate based on the Presidents messaging and catch federal employee salaries back up to overall pre-sequestration levels. Thank you.
