Dear governor, Mamdani’s plan to increase taxes on millionaires is one of the most progressive proposal I have seen in years if not decades. We have to rip the bandaid and get it done. We need more tax revenue to fund services for citizens including seniors and children and to fund the MTA to improve service and maintain the transportation infrastructure, among other things. This can only come from the richest parts of society. I find your opposition to this proposal appalling and unjustified, except for the fact that some of your wealthy donors will probably be upset. Well, us regular citizens who are not millionaires are already upset. Actually we are furious. We will vote you out of office. So please listen to the people and tax the rich.
