I am writing as a Pennsylvanian who supports Senate Bill 416, which allows our nonprofit organizations to accept online payments for raffles. Our community organizations, fire companies, veteran posts, youth leagues, and churches, depend on these fundraisers. Today they run on paper tickets and cash, with no way to accept electronic payments from the growing number of donors who carry no cash. SB416 passed the State Senate unanimously. It has broad support across party lines. The only thing standing between our local organizations and a modern, accountable fundraising system is a vote in the House before the legislative session ends November 30. Please support bringing SB416 to a vote.
