End funding to Israel, stop Gaza catastrophe

The ongoing violence and bloodshed in Gaza is a humanitarian catastrophe that demands immediate action. Nearly 95,000 Palestinians have been wounded, with thousands permanently disabled, and over 41,000 killed in just 11 months. This unacceptable loss of civilian life must end. The International Court of Justice has ruled that there is a real risk of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and ordered Israel to take measures to protect civilians. However, the situation continues to deteriorate with no end in sight to the death and destruction. Israel's bombardment of Gaza has left much of the territory destroyed, displaced 90% of the population, and crippled the healthcare system. Meanwhile, Hamas and other armed groups continue to hold around 100 Israeli hostages in grave danger. This vicious cycle of violence and retaliation is solving nothing. All parties must implement an immediate ceasefire to stop the bloodshed, secure the release of hostages, and enable humanitarian aid to reach those desperately in need in Gaza. The U.S. veto blocking ceasefire calls at the UN Security Council is exacerbating an already dire situation. The way to end this catastrophe is to end any and all funding to Israel. Now is the time for world leaders to put humanity first and take resolute action to end this catastrophe through a permanent ceasefire by all sides. Enough is enough - the civilians of Gaza cannot endure more suffering.
