Put Country Before Party—Act to Protect America

To: Sen. Sullivan, Sen. Murkowski, Rep. Begich

From: A verified voter in Anchorage, AK

April 13

I’m writing as a concerned Alaskan who loves this country deeply. I am disheartened, angry, and afraid—not because of partisan politics, but because of the reckless and dangerous behavior unfolding under President Trump’s influence. Just 20 days ago, we learned that senior members of the Trump administration discussed military action in Yemen using unsecured messaging apps, bypassing official channels and national security protocols. They celebrated the death of a Houthi leader with emojis, without strategy, oversight, or even a record of what was decided and why. This wasn’t just an error—it was a catastrophic violation of trust, law, and responsibility. Since then, we’ve witnessed a barrage of economically reckless decisions: sweeping tariffs announced on a whim, market chaos, erosion of our standing on the world stage, and now credible concerns that these decisions may be financially benefiting Trump’s allies or himself. I ask you—no, I beg you—to reflect. If you truly love America, now is the time to prove it. How can you stand by while our democratic norms, global alliances, and economic stability are being burned down in real time? This is not a political issue—it is an American issue. I don’t want performative outrage or hollow statements. I want courage. I want accountability. I want leadership that upholds the Constitution, honors our institutions, and protects the people—not one man’s ego or ambitions. Please stop enabling this madness. Use your voice. Use your vote. History is watching.
