Sever U.S. Support for Israel and Demand the Release of a Kidnapped American

Gaza is collapsing under the weight of a man-made famine, engineered through blockade and bombardment. Tens of thousands have already died, and millions more face starvation. This is not a humanitarian crisis—it is a U.S.-funded genocide carried out by the Israeli government.
You have rightly expressed concern about the scale and severity of Israel’s assault on Gaza. But concern is not enough. This is the time for moral clarity and decisive action.
Israel has now escalated even further—intercepting a peaceful aid vessel, the Handala, in international waters, and abducting 21 civilians, including Jacob Berger, a Jewish American citizen and human rights activist. He was taken illegally, outside any recognized Israeli jurisdiction. If Russia or Iran had seized a U.S. citizen like this, there would be bipartisan outrage. But when Israel does it, we hesitate.
I am calling on you to:
1. Demand the immediate release of Jacob Berger and the civilian passengers aboard the Handala. As a U.S. Senator, it is your duty to protect American citizens—regardless of who took them.
2. Publicly support an end to all U.S. military and financial aid to Israel. No more blank checks. No more “ironclad” commitments. Our values must come first.
3. Push for a full investigation into Israel’s use of U.S. weapons in violations of international law, including deliberate starvation tactics and indiscriminate bombings.
If we continue to arm and defend a regime that starves children and bombs hospitals, then we are not the good guys. We are not peace brokers—we are collaborators.
Please match your words with action. This is a moment that demands courage. I ask you to act now—while there are still lives left to save.
