The tragic death of Charlie Kirk is dividing America further. I am saddened that the Executive branch is taking this as an opportunity to crack down on free speech, when even ugly sentiments are protected under the Constitution. I am also saddened by threats of violence towards people who don't support Charlie Kirk's views. Please urge the President to take a thoughtful, measured approach that ends violent rhetoric from government officials and urges unity while protecting free speech that is not actually a threat.
