Older Americans will see a 9.7% increase in their Medicare Part B premiums in 2026. Americans who get coverage through their jobs will see the highest costs in a decade and a half. Gig workers and other who rely on the Affordable Care Act will be priced out of the market when the cheapest health plans available through the marketplace will cost consumers $12,000 in 2026 – just for monthly premiums, not counting the $100 upfront cost to walk in the door of a doctor’s office or any other medical expenses. Americans don’t want a one-time payment for expensive health care. This is not a health care plan - it is a bribe to distract Americans from how Republicans have broken the health care system. We want a health care system that works and is affordable. We need to follow every other western nation and provide universal health care. Do your job.
