Support ticketing reforms to stop price-gouging and restore fair access

To: Rep. Hageman, Sen. Barrasso, Sen. Lummis

From: A verified voter in Jackson, WY

December 27

I’m a constituent in Teton County, and I’m asking you to introduce and support bipartisan legislation to curb ticket price gouging and restore fair access for fans. A practical package that would move the needle: 1. All-in pricing everywhere, upfront, for primary and resale listings, so the first price shown is the real total. 2. Ban speculative ticket listings (no selling tickets you don’t actually own). 3. Stronger bot enforcement with meaningful penalties and real compliance standards for ticketing platforms. 4. Cap resale markups and fees by requiring a face-value exchange option for events that choose it, limiting resale to face value (plus reasonable, capped fees), and restricting transfers outside approved exchanges for those events. This isn’t about banning resale, it’s about stopping manipulation and hidden fees that punish normal buyers. Please let me know if you support these reforms and what steps you’ll take this session.
