AMERICANS ARE NOT KRISTI NOEM’S DOGS

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Pfluger

From: A verified voter in Mason, TX

January 11

Today Kristi Noem said DHS is sending "hundreds" more officers to Minnesota a day after tens of thousands of people marched through Minneapolis to protest the fatal shooting of a woman by an ICE agent. She told us the officers would be deployed on Sunday and Monday to bolster the safety of ICE and Border Patrol officials already in Minnesota. So she sees the solution to civil unrest as sending more guys with guns to protect the guys with guns that are starting the trouble in the first place. How many guys with guns is it going to take to protect guys with guns aimed at American citizens? Some 2,000 federal officers have already been dispatched to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in what DHS has called its largest operation ever. Why? Because the constitutional right to protest is annoying guys equipped for war? Because they keep poking the bear that is the American people? More than 1,000 rallies were planned nationwide this weekend to protest the federal government's deportation push and Wednesday's fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE officer. Why does she think there are so many rallies spontaneously happening? Why does she think that exacerbating an already inflamed situation will result in a different outcome from the killing of an unarmed woman we’ve all watched endlessly over the last few days? Noem and other officials have maintained that the agent acted in self-defense because Good, a volunteer in a community network that monitors and records ICE operations in Minneapolis, drove forward in the direction of the agent who then shot her, after another agent had approached the driver's side and told her to get out of the car. It’s become very plain the last few days that we the people are expected to submit to whatever we’re told to do by guys who are deemed to have total immunity from any of their actions. Even for killing under the guise of self-protection. How does anyone expect an American raised on freedom not to stand up for what they were taught to believe in? Later in the morning on CNN's "State of the Union," Noem said other video footage showed Good protesting ICE agents at other locations earlier on Wednesday morning, but did not say if or when it would be publicly released. So they were already annoyed by her? Good thing they had guns. And we’ll see more video about the time hell freezes over. If it actually exists and showed something exculpatory for the agent involved it would already be all over social media. These people are soulless. Shameless. And don’t seem to have a clue how most of America is viewing their actions. Or worse yet, couldn’t care less. They are essentially all walking away saying ‘F-ing bitch.’
