National Design Studio Privacy, Oversight, and Election Concerns

To: Gov. Walz

From: A verified voter in Lakeville, MN

June 1

I am writing to request congressional oversight of the National Design Studio, a White House office that is building federal digital infrastructure with no transparency or legal compliance. Key documented concerns include the following. Federal health, passport, and voter registration websites are being built on White House-controlled infrastructure rather than the independent agency servers required by law, with no required privacy notices filed. A working preview of vote.gov has been registered to the Executive Office of the President, not the Election Assistance Commission as required by post-Florida 2000 law. Its certificate is dated April 10, 2026, directly contradicting the Department of Justice's representation to a federal court that this infrastructure does not exist. The domain passports.gov is owned by the White House Office, not the State Department. It is currently collecting biometric passport photos with no privacy policy on file. Federal health websites including TrumpRx.gov are running analytics software that records keystrokes and mouse movements with IP addresses not stripped, in violation of the E-Government Act of 2002. Zero required Privacy Impact Assessments or System of Records Notices have been filed across any of the twelve National Design Studio programs. Login.gov, used by more than 150 million Americans for federal benefits and job applications, is now run by a former DOGE staffer who survived a federal court injunction that blocked all other DOGE personnel from accessing Office of Personnel Management records. All National Design Studio records are sealed until 2040 under the Presidential Records Act, with no Inspector General oversight available. The original investigative report with full primary source documentation was published May 27, 2026 by Audrey Henson at The Drey Dossier. It can be found at thedreydossier.substack.com I respectfully request a full accounting of National Design Studio infrastructure and domain ownership, immediate filing of all required privacy documents, and investigation of the vote.gov and passports.gov situations, including whether DOJ's court representations were accurate.
