With today's national strike coming a close, I am urging you to do more for the residents of this state. We need protections. An American citizen from El Monte was taken over live video on Instagram today. Simply because she was the wrong color. She did nothing wrong but be brown while driving. This racial profiling needs to end. Whether American or immigrant, everyone deserves the right to due process. Untrained officers are being given free reign to terrorize innocent residents in California. It has to stop. As our senator, I urge you to align with your democratic constituents to protect all Americans and immigrants. Two journalists were arrested, Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, impeding their 1st amendment rights. Help bring our democracy back When the administration pushes, we push harder. Write stricter laws that protect the rights of our residents against illegal kidnappings by ICE officers. Protect our rights to free press the dissemination online and on social media. Don't let another death like Keith Porter, Renee Good and Alex Pretti happen under ICE and the Trump regime.
