The Trump administration is spending taxpayer money on what are, by any honest measure, campaign ads — and you need to act to stop it. The latest "PSA" is nearly identical to a Trump 2024 campaign ad, now stamped "Paid for by the U.S. government." AdImpact estimates over $1.7 million in public funds have already been spent airing these ads during NFL games and primetime broadcasts. That is theft from every American taxpayer. Federal law bans using public funds for political advertising. Even the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office has previously sanctioned both Bush and Obama administrations for far less egregious violations. This goes further — repurposing a literal campaign ad and billing it to the public. Sen. John Kennedy called it out directly: public officials should not "spend public money on private ads for themselves." Democratic appropriators called it "egregious and utterly illegal." They're right. This is a high crime against the public trust. Demand a full accounting of every dollar spent, refer this to the GAO for immediate review, and use every tool available — including Article II, Section 4 — to hold this administration accountable. The longer Congress stays silent, the more this administration will take.
