What are you doing? Because I’m sitting here feeling like I’m watching the end of America and the end of democracy, which is not something I expected to see in my lifetime. I appreciate that the shutdown isn’t your fault and I’m happy that you’re standing up for healthcare and other things that make the lives of your constituents better. I recognize that the democrats don’t control either of the houses or the presidency. I believe the press is complicit in normalizing this madness. But despite all of that, what are you doing? Why aren’t there daily press conferences in front of the destruction of the White House? Why aren’t you calling out all the lies? Surely there is something more that can be done than strongly worded letters. I don’t know what I expect. But I’m sad that I’ve never had the chance to visit DC. Now I’ll never know the wonder of the people’s White House or the Smithsonian Museum without the censorship of white supremacists. At this point, I’m worried that I’ll even be able to live or travel freely within this fascist state. I’m begging you, please do something. Stop our tax dollars from going to this. Secede. Petition to join Canada. Request UN intervention. Just do something. Any response is better than no response to this fascist takeover.
