Block the SpaceX Land Trade Before It Causes Irreversible Ecological Damage

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Owens, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in West Jordan, UT

June 15

Block the proposed land trade with SpaceX. This deal puts corporate interests ahead of ecological preservation, and the damage it would cause cannot be undone once the land changes hands. I expect you to use every tool available to stop it. Land trades like this set a dangerous precedent — handing over ecologically sensitive territory to a private corporation for commercial development is not a minor transaction. Once that habitat is gone, it's gone. No mitigation plan or offset program makes up for the loss of land that took decades or centuries to develop its ecological value. SpaceX is a profitable private company. It does not need public or protected land subsidized away from the communities and ecosystems that depend on it. Vote against this trade, and make clear that our natural resources are not available for corporate convenience.
