Extend Haitian TPS — Stop Inhumane Deportations of Springfield Residents

To: Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted, Rep. Davidson

From: A verified voter in Cincinnati, OH

September 16

The Senate must extend Temporary Protected Status for Haitian nationals before the current designation expires. As an Ohio citizen, I've watched the attacks on Springfield's Haitian community with growing alarm. Haiti's compounding crises — political instability, gang violence, and disaster — make safe return impossible. Letting TPS lapse is a choice to uproot families and send people back to danger. Springfield's Haitian residents are neighbors, coworkers, and taxpayers who have built lives here. The inhumane deportations already tearing through this community cause real, irreversible harm to real people and serve no legitimate policy goal. Fight for a clean extension of Haitian TPS and make clear to Senate leadership that this cannot be left off the agenda.
