Access to safe, affordable housing is one of the most pressing issues facing our communities today. The Renewing Opportunity in the American Dream (ROAD) to Housing Act, introduced by Sens. Tim Scott and Elizabeth Warren passed the Senate Banking Committee with unanimous support and includes provisions from each member of the committee. I urge the Senate to take up and pass this bill now to begin addressing the affordability crisis in the United States and help renters and homeowners alike.
