Like most Chicagoans, I rely on our robust public transit system in my every day life. The general assembly's failure to even vote on a bill to fund transit will make it much harder for me to get around the city. It will also cost Illinois's economy billions of dollars! Public transit is an essential engine for Chicagoland's economy. I am demanding that you call a special session to prevent the transit fiscal cliff and keep our economy from crashing.
