VOTE NO on the NORRA Act (H.R. 1526) — Check Executive Overreach!!!

To: Rep. Amodei

From: A verified voter in Reno, NV

April 6

I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the No Rogue Rulings (NORRA) Act (H.R. 1526). This legislation would severely weaken the power of the judiciary by preventing federal judges from granting relief beyond the specific parties before the court—even when the government’s actions are clearly unconstitutional. This is a dangerous overreach by Congress and a direct attack on judicial independence. The federal courts are one of the last lines of defense against abuse of executive power. Limiting their ability to issue nationwide injunctions means allowing illegal or unconstitutional actions to continue harming others until case after case is brought in every jurisdiction. That’s not justice. That’s chaos. The NORRA Act would strip courts of the very tools they use to uphold the Constitution, especially when executive overreach puts the rights and freedoms of millions at risk. It’s a deliberate effort to tie the judiciary’s hands—and to let presidents and agencies act without meaningful checks. If the courts can no longer protect people from illegal executive actions on a national scale, who will? Please vote NO on H.R. 1526. Defend the separation of powers. Protect the courts. Preserve our democracy.
