I am writing as your constituent to urge you to exercise the full extent of your constitutional authority during this critical period in our nation's history. We face unprecedented challenges: escalating tensions with Iran that have increased terrorism threats domestically and abroad, sophisticated cyberattacks from adversarial nations like Russia and China, and a volatile global economy that affects every American household. These complex, interconnected crises demand steady, experienced leadership guided by sound judgment and emotional stability. Instead, we are witnessing governance driven by personal grievances rather than national interest. The current administration's erratic trade policies and tariffs are devastating American families—gas prices have surged, grocery costs continue to climb, and even those who supported this president are being crushed economically from all sides. Meanwhile, we are spending billions of dollars weekly on military operations that lack clear strategic objectives or congressional authorization. This is not sustainable, and it is not what our founders envisioned when they designed our system of checks and balances. I am calling on you to invoke your Article I powers to end unauthorized military engagements and bring our service members home. Demand full transparency and congressional approval before any further military escalation. Exercise rigorous oversight of executive branch decision-making, particularly regarding trade policy and military action. Oppose any policies that appear motivated by personal vendetta rather than national security. Protect American workers and families from the economic fallout of impulsive, poorly planned policy decisions. Congress has the constitutional power to act as a check on executive overreach. Our system of government depends on your willingness to use it—regardless of party affiliation. When leadership fails to meet the moment, when stability gives way to chaos, and when personal grievances drive national policy, it is your sworn duty to intervene. The American people need you to stand firm in the face of this instability. We need you to prioritize sound governance over political convenience. We need you to remember that your oath is to the Constitution and to the people you represent—not to any individual occupying the Oval Office. I respectfully request a written response outlining the specific actions you will take to address these concerns.
