You don't have to worry about re-election. What's keeping you from a full arms embargo on Israel? They're bombing schools and hospitals and safe zones, killing refugees of all ages, attacking Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and causing such incredible environmental damage that is going to take generations to repair. They're committing genocide with full US support and with US weapons. Why are we so intent on erasing Palestine? What do we get out of further violence against an indigenous people on another continent? Why are we digging ourselves in deeper when the rest of the global community knows this is wrong? The gaslighting around what's happening in Palestine is at the level of Trump's lies about Hatian immigrants eating people's pets. We can all see what's happening, even as the press are targeted and the statistics are being defunded and flagged. This is beyond unconscionable. We must break our addiction to violence and war. Stop giving weapons to war criminals. Let Palestine live. This war is only making antisemitism rise worldwide, we're not doing anyone any favors by sending death to Palestine on behalf of the IDF. This would have been over last October if Israel would have taken the offer to swap hostages for Palestinian detainees. Hundreds more Palestinians are being held and tortured by Israel than were taken by Hamas last fall. The numbers already tell us of the unjust outright targeting of Palestinians for dehumanizing treatment. And just as Black men are gunned down in the USA and then excuses are made for why they must deserve it, Palestinians are being painted with a broad brush of terrorism while having the terror of American bombs dropped on them. You can stop this war. Stop sending Israel the weapons of war.
