Condemn Trump’s Dangerous & Violent Rhetoric

To: Rep. Comer, Sen. McConnell, Sen. Paul

From: A constituent in Danville, KY

September 15, 2025

I am writing to demand immediate action regarding the dangerous escalation of political rhetoric that is directly contributing to violence against elected officials and citizens. Trump’s repeated use of dehumanizing language must be condemned by our elected leaders. This vitriolic rhetoric has real consequences. In June, Vance Boelter shot and killed MN State Representative Hortman. Another right wing shooter just killed Charlie Kirk. Research shows inflammatory political rhetoric increases violence risk. The CP recorded 14,000 threats against members of Congress in 2025 alone—up from 9,000 in all of 2024. When the Pedodent of the United States labels political opponents as “enemies” & threatens military action against “radical left lunatics,” it legitimizes violence in the minds of unstable individuals. I demand you publicly condemn Trump’s dangerous rhetoric and dehumanizing language about fellow Americans! You must introduce censure resolutions and use every legislative tool available to hold Trump accountable. Our democracy cannot survive when elected officials fuel the very violence that threatens our institutions.
