Vote NO on the SAVE Act

To: Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray

From: A constituent in Clinton, WA

March 16

I respectfully ask you to vote “No” on the SAVE Act, the MEGA Act, and any similar legislation that threatens our voting rights. These bills impose unnecessary barriers—requiring in‑person proof of citizenship such as a passport or original birth certificate for registration or updates. Many eligible voters, including seniors, military members, tribal citizens, rural residents, and those who have changed their names after marriage, cannot easily obtain these documents. The bills would also eliminate online and mail‑in registration, forcing everyone to register in person regardless of circumstance. Federal and state law already prohibits non‑citizens from voting, and secure verification systems exist. These proposals add no real security benefit while deliberately suppressing votes. Please protect the right to vote for all Americans by voting “No.”
