Donald Trump, a man who treats women with utmost contempt, is about to become the President of the United States. We need every legal protection possible for women's rights under such a presidency. We need the Executive Branch to publish the Equal Rights Amendment. No more excuses. Women campaigned and fought for you and Biden because we believed you both supported us. In the 2024 election and in 2020, women and queer people worked hard on your campaigns. But refusing to do your constitutional duty, instead hiding behind thin excuses and equivocation, can only mean President Biden lied about supporting our interests and listening to our needs. If he supported women's rights he would exert his power to secure them, as he has done with executive orders for many other issues throughout his presidency. Please, show us you are both the Democratic allies we thought you were. Push President Biden to publish the 28th Amendment before handing over power to Trump. We cannot afford to wait for liberty.
