Reject partisan politicization of Department of Justice
To: Sen. Fetterman
From: A constituent in Lansdale, PA
February 5
The decision to confirm Pam Bondi as U.S. Attorney General despite her close ties to former President Trump and her defense of his actions raises serious concerns about potential politicization of the Justice Department. As an ally of the president who has claimed investigations into him were politically motivated, Bondi's unwillingness to rule out prosecuting his adversaries suggests a willingness to weaponize the department for partisan interests rather than serving equal justice. The move to identify FBI agents involved in Jan. 6 prosecutions and force out prosecutors on those cases further undermines the rule of law and judicial independence. Confirming Bondi jeopardizes the fundamental principle of an impartial justice system committed to upholding the law without fear or favor. I urge you to reconsider your support and forcefully oppose any efforts at partisan interference that compromise the integrity of our judicial institutions.
