Shutdown the government, if you must. The administration has made it clear they will not abide by any budget provided by Congress. Fight! Stop worrying about your job or the optics of being blamed for a shutdown and fight back. I’m a federal worker who fights every day now, not for my job (I’m sure I’ll be fired soon) but for the people. I expect nothing less from my representatives. Given the administration’s continued refusal to release congressionally authorized funds, Democrats should demand that all funds be released before agreeing to any CR or budget deal. These are not normal times. Do not give up your vote for promises that will never be honored. Make them earn it.
