This shutdown is a choice — your choice. By refusing to negotiate like real leaders, you’re holding the entire country hostage and harming the very people you’re supposed to represent.
You’ve shuttered SNAP and are gutting safety-net services that keep millions of Americans — children, seniors, veterans, and working families — from going hungry or homeless. That’s not “fiscal responsibility.” That’s cruelty.
A real leader would sit down, find common ground, and make sure the government stays open for the people who need it most. Instead, you’ve chosen political theater and blame-shifting.
End the shutdown. Restore SNAP and other essential programs. Start governing with compassion and responsibility — not punishment and pride.
West Virginians deserve better than this.
