Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to purge the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and replace its members with anti-vaccine extremists is a direct threat to public health and a national disgrace.
This is not a policy disagreement—it is a calculated assault on science. Individuals like Dr. Robert Malone and Vicky Pebsworth, who have spread dangerous lies such as COVID-19 vaccines causing AIDS or “mass hypnosis,” have no place anywhere near vaccine policy. Installing conspiracy theorists in positions of power over public health is reckless, deadly, and unacceptable.
The ACIP is meant to guide vaccine recommendations based on scientific evidence—not misinformation and political agendas. Replacing expert scientists with ideological operatives guts the integrity of one of our most critical health institutions and risks reversing decades of progress in preventing disease and saving lives.
This action alone disqualifies Secretary Kennedy from holding office. Congress must immediately launch a full investigation into these firings, move to restore qualified medical professionals to ACIP, and consider Kennedy’s removal from his post. If lawmakers fail to act now, they will be complicit in the spread of preventable disease and the collapse of trust in our public health system.
Science—not propaganda—must drive vaccine policy. Anything less is a betrayal of the American people.
