I know my letter will not make a bit of difference at this point; however, I am horrified about the destruction at 1600 Penn Ave! All the times I visited the White House for Christmas and when my child visited for meetings as part of advocacy groups, all the history walking in that entrance…DESTROYED!! I have yet to hear any complaints! There are processes to be followed, permits to be given and review procedures. What happened this week is the cherry on the disgusting GOP cake! First, the house being in vacation! I know Dems are working, I appreciate that. However, the GOP skates, lies about why we have a shutdown, sends money to Argentina when OUR citizens are hurting. It is NOT acceptable that an entire party is complicit. Surely some of your colleagues have some shred of self-respect and what to do what’s right? Or is Washington just completely overrun with power corruption? WHAT THE HELL is happening????? This cannot be allowed to continue!
