Some say that international law doesn't matter because there is no higher legal authority than nations themselves, but that argument ignores the fact that the reason international law exist, is because various nations of the world came together to decide what laws they all agree to. The US needs to comply with international law because the US not only agreed to them, but helped create them in the first place. If leaders of this country ignore international law and take intentional steps to evade them, like sanctioning judges, they need to be held accountable. It is what we agreed to!
